ASK A BEAUTY QUEEN
Miss Universe asks fans to send in final questions
The official Facebook page for the Miss Universe pageant has invited fans to be a part of the big night on December 20 by submitting a final question for the candidates.
Social media users can log on and post a question in the comments, which will then become an official entry for consideration. Anyone with a Facebook account can join and the selected user's profile picture and name will be flashed during the Question and Answer portion.
Thousands of users have already sent suggestions.
One of the top comments is from Anthony BP, who asked, "Do you believe that plastic surgery should be a disqualifier as Miss Universe should be one who has the best natural beauty, intelligence and what does it say to future young aspiring beauty queens about perception, body image and being confidently beautiful?"
Another Facebook user, Frances Oliver Galvez Palma, proposed the question: "Pageants like Miss Universe have been around for many years now. Why do you think male pageants do not get the same attention as female pageants? Has it something to say about how the world looks at both genders?"
A tough question was also asked by Benji De Guzman: "If you believe that God made us perfect and a reflection of His image, would He approve of a contest like Miss Universe, which basically is an admission that we are essentially unequal, and should be ranked by looks?"
Fans have until December 19, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) to submit questions. — AT, GMA News
