Miss Tibet participates in Miss Global Pageant

Miss Tibet 2016 Tenzing Sangnyi is in the Philippines to participate in the Miss Global Pageant. She is among 39 contestants from around the world vying for the crown.

The delegates will be in the capital Manila for two weeks rehearsing, social events and sightseeing, and will compete in swimwear, international wear, evening gown, interview, and on-stage questions. The finale will be held next week.

Sangnyi, 21, was crowned Miss Tibet in June in McLeod Ganj. She is a nursing student in Delhi.

The Miss Global Pageant was formed in 2012, and is headquartered in Los Angeles.

The goal of the Miss Global event is empowering women, embracing culture, and embodying the beauty within.
