Miss Grand Bahama Danielle Pratt continues to reign with grace as she excitedly prepares to compete in the Miss Universe Bahamas Pageant on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Albany Resort in Nassau, New Providence.
Ten contestants will be vying for the coveted Miss Universe Bahamas crown however, Grand Bahamians are giving their unwavering love and support to Pratt who’s not only outwardly beautiful but intelligent, kind and caring.
The Miss Universe Bahamas Pageant will be held under the theme, “Living Beautifully” and according to Pratt, “I am honored to have this opportunity to be a delegate in the prestigious Miss Universe Bahamas Pageant.
“The journey thus far has been quite rewarding.
“In preparing for the pageant, I have had to travel to Nassau on a weekly basis (sometimes twice a week) for rehearsals and other activities.
“I am grateful to Western Air and Sky Bahamas for their generosity in sponsoring my trips.”
Since being crowned Miss Grand Bahama in October 2015, Danielle has participated in two international pageants: Miss Tourism International (November 2015) in China and Miss Coffee International (January 2016) in Colombia and works hard to be a good ambassador for The Bahamas in everything she does.
Glenn Davis, Director of the Miss Grand Bahama Beauty Pageant Organization revealed that Pratt, who is an employee of the Ministry of Tourism Grand Bahama Office possesses a humble spirit and applies the same inspirational beauty and wisdom to all tasks she takes on and is confident she will do exceptionally well at the upcoming pageant stating, “After so many years, we are excited to be having Miss Grand Bahama participate in the Miss Universe Bahamas pageant again.
“Danielle will be the first in about 10 years and she is well experienced in the pageant world having competed in the Miss Tourism Queen Beauty Pageant last year in China and Miss Coffee International Beauty Pageant earlier this year in Colombia.
“She shows great potential of being the next Miss Universe Bahamas.”
Pratt noted that being Miss Grand Bahama has been such a fabulous experience, as she has had the opportunity to travel and participate in two international pageants, learn so many new things, meet so many people and forge new friendships.
Every day she enjoys promoting her platform of ‘Inner Beauty and Self Confidence’ and has been strategically designed a program to encourage young girls to embrace their inner beauty.
Pratt, who is an active member of Freeport Bible Church, where she serves in the Dance Ministry and as a leader in the Children’s Church Ministry revealed she is moving forward in faith and hopes to inspire others to embrace their inner beauty by being true to themselves.
The very busy queen thanks the Grand Bahama community for their support especially her parents, family and friends whom she enjoys hanging out with in her “down time.”
Pratt noted that she would continue to strive to be a positive role model to her twin sisters Destiny and Dana as well as enjoy participating in her hobbies, which include graphic designing, dancing, singing, cooking and being a member of the Kingdom Culture Junkanoo Group.
She intends to give her very best at the upcoming Miss Universe Bahamas Pageant and joins Davis in encouraging other young ladies between the ages of 17-25 to enter this year’s Miss Grand Bahama set for October.
