5 things you didn't know about Lopamudra Raut, second runner-up at Miss United Continents 2016

India's Lopamudra Raut has bagged the second runner-up spot at Miss United Continents 2016. Here are five things you should know about the diva.

Lopamudra Raut brought great honour to the country after winning the second runner-up spot at Miss United Continents 2016, which was held in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on Sunday.

That's not all--she also went on to win the Best National Costume sub-contest that was designed by Melvyn Noronha. This is the third consecutive victory for India for Best National costume at this pageant.

"I still can't believe that I have won the Miss United Continents title of second-runner up. I feel immensely proud and ecstatic. I am very happy for the support of my family, friends and fans that supported me through this journey," Lopamudra told PTI.

As the diva goes about her duties as the beauty queen now, here are a few things you should know about her:

1. Lopamudra hails from Nagpur and completed her engineering before taking up modelling as a profession.
2. Lopamudra was crowned Miss India Goa in 2013, which gave her a direct entry to participate in Femina Miss India 2013.
3. The talented diva also participated in Femina Miss India 2014 and won the subtitle, Miss Body Beautiful.
4. She also took part in Miss Diva 2014 pageant and made it to 'top 7' as a finalist.
5. Her interests include Kathak, playing guitar, singing, partying, socialising and travelling.
