The coveted Miss World 2016 pageant date and venue announced. The prestigious pageant is slated to be held in the capital ofUnited States, Washington DC. The amazing event will be held on December 20th, 2016.
The official announcement regarding the venue was made by the Miss WorldOrganisation on June 16, 2016.
It is for the second time in the history of Miss World pageant that the pageant will be held in the United States. More than 100 countries from all over the globe will be competing for the esteemed Miss World title. This year will mark the 66th edition of the Miss World pageant.
The reigning Miss World Mireia Lalaguna from Spain will pass her crown to her successor at the end of the pageant.
Amongst the big four international beauty pageants, Miss World is one of the oldest. The prestigious pageant was established in the year 1951 and the first edition of the beauty pageant was held in the United Kingdom.
