Amanda Debus of Middletown, Miss First State, won the 2016 Miss Delaware Pageant at Dover Downs on Saturday.

Debus becomes the first winner of Miss Delaware's Outstanding Teen to become Miss Delaware. She was Miss Delaware's Outstanding Teen in 2009.

Her talent is contemporary ballet and her platform is ALL-AWARE, allergy awareness.

She now begins preparation for the Miss America Pageant in September.

The Miss Delaware Scholarship Organization is celebrating is 75th anniversary this year.
