Caroline Flack blasts Miss Great Britain organisers after 'de-crowning' Zara Holland for having sex on Love Island
The ITV2 show's host slammed the idea of Miss GB as from 'the dark ages'
Show host Caroline Flack rubs her hands with glee when contestants on her show want to get it on, after all – it is called Love Island – so she was furious to hear thatZara Holland was 'de-crowned' as Miss Great Britain.
The decision was announced on Thursday night after organisers had considered Zara's actions on the show – when she had sex with a fellow contestant.
After the announcement, Caroline wrote: “Feel even more sorry for Zara now she's been de-crowned. She's a very sweet girl . What even is 'miss GB' ? Are we living in the dark ages ?”
The tweet was liked over 3,300 times as well as Caroline admitting that she felt sorry for Zara.
She also retweeted a message which read: “Surely the 'role model' should be how Miss GB handles her mistakes. Not to be punished for making them.”
But, as news spread of Zara being stripped of her title, it wasn't long before people were mocking the 20-year-old.
After Zara spent the night with Vicky Pattison's ex-boyfriend Alex Bowen - after he'd only been in the villa for a day - she immediately regretted her actions .
Since the steamy night on the ITV reality show, the Miss Great Britain organisation have de-crowned the blonde, which has caused a huge reaction on Twitter.
Vicky, was one of the first to poke fun at Zara's antics in the Hideaway with Vicky's ex, when the I'm a Celebrity winner posted: "Miss BJ?!!!"
Agreeing with the organisation, former Miss Great Britain and Love Island contestant, Cally Jane Beech, said: "Yes true, @Official_MissGB you are well within your rights to protect this brand unfortunately for Zara".

While Stephanie Davis ' ex, Sam Reece asked: "Does she know about this.. Or she going to keep bs going on about she's still Miss GB"
However, former X Factor singer, Chloe Paige, added: "How outdated! @zaraholland11 has been an active, positive Miss GB & simply made a mistake! Unrealistic expectations! "
