Rachel Peters: The Next Filipina Miss Universe (?)
I first made mention that Rachel Peters might be bringing the Miss Universe Philippines title to Kagandahang Flores back last February, now my prediction has come true.
The 5’10” stunner Rachel caused somewhat of a stir among international pageant fans when the official Miss Universe Instagram account posted about her win congratulating the British-Filipina for her victory. This caused an uproar among fans from other countries decrying how about other crowned queens? If she caused such stir early on, we can’t imagine how she will create a bigger impact come Miss Universe pageant.
In a previous Crown Contender blogpost, I have described Rachel having “a socialite face on a killer bod with a very articulate mind.” I was the first to mention that Rachel has the Miss Universe body similar to that of Paulina Vega and Gabriela Isler and we all know how she always aces (pun intended) interviews. it would be so easy for me to say that she is a definite strong contender in the Miss Universe pageant as early as now. Her performance during the Binibining Pilipinas finals is a promising peek on what she can do in MU. Some polishing on her pasarela, some experimentation on hair and makeup, plus a healthy dose of physical fitness regime should mold her to a winnable candidate.
Watch out world, err make that universe, this Filipina is bound to bring about a Miss Universe sandwich victory in 2 decades (last time that happened in 1995 & 1997). Rachel Peters is my early fave for Miss Universe 2017.
