WATCH: Liza Soberano as Pia Wurtzbach in 'MMK' teaser
A short clip gave a glimpse into the beauty-queen training Soberano received for the role, as well as a shot of the actress wearing a crown.
The episode will tell the story of Wurtzbach, who lost the Binibining Pilipinas pageant twice, before eventually winning the Miss Universe crown. She is the first title-holder from the Philippines in more than four decades.
The news of Soberano's latest role has been met positively by fans clamoring for her to join pageants.
Last October, even Wurtzbach herself said that the "Dolce Amore" star "doesn't even need to try" if she wants to become a beauty queen.
