An official ribbon cutting for the Miss America organization's new national offices took place at Boardwalk Hall Wednesday, March 10. The offices, which are located on the the first floor of Boardwalk Hall, help to emphasize the long standing relationship the pageant has had with both Atlantic City and the venue.
The offices feature a variety of memorabilia from Miss America pageant, including charcoal pencil drawings of previous winners, along with a variety of plaques and even a set of vintage tickets to the 1922 pageant.
A group of speakers were on hand to help mark the opening, including Atlantic City Mayor Don Guardian, Boardwalk Hall GM Jim Wyncoop, plus COO Josh Randle and Executive Chairman and CEO Sam Haskell, both of the Miss America Organization..
The guest of honor was none other than Miss America 2017 herself, Savvy Shields, who spoke of her love of Atlantic City.
"The warm response we have gotten from everyone in this city has been overwhelming. I'm proud to call it my second home," Sheilds said.
