LOOK: Muslim Miss Universe Contestant Gets Unfair Advantage In Bikini Round

Muna Jama, a 27-year-old finalist in the Miss Universe GB Pageant, is a devout Muslim who insists that she be allowed to follow the strict rules of Islam during the contest. However, many believe this would grant an unfair advantage, especially in light of what the pageant has done now.
The Sun reports that Jama was invited to participate in the competition two years ago, but she chose not to attend over fears about the bikini round. Then, she took a life-changing trip as a volunteer to help refugees in Egypt and Somalia, where she gained the “courage to take part — but only on her terms.”
If you are starting to get the feeling that this story is becoming another hypocritical liberal narrative in the entertainment industry, you are correct. “I wouldn’t wear a bikini to a beach, so I’m not going to wear one in a competition to score points,” Jama, who’s from Forest Gate, East London, said.
What a hero, right? She is clearly playing the Muslim woman martyr card, and those who are promoting the pageant are on board, most likely in an attempt to stir up controversy and gain attention for their event.
“What I wanted to do was to raise awareness of what I have been working so hard for,” Jama claims. “It took a bit of back and forward with Miss Universe. They said they were happy to allow me to compete,” she added. “It wasn’t easy but I think it was the first time they have heard someone asking for it.” She continued, “I thought they are either going to say yes or no, and I get to talk about what I’m passionate about.”
Jama wants to use the platform to bring awareness to the refugee problem and has asked organizers to allow her to wear a kaftan rather than a bikini.

According to SWNS, Jama further explained, “These pageants are associated with beauty and modeling but over the years there has been a platform for other females using their platform differently.”
In a move that is really not surprising, pageant organizers granted her request. A Muslim woman is “persecuted” for not wearing a bikini, and she persists in her sacrifice to help innocent refugee children.
What a load of hogwash. Does Islam approve of beauty pageants in the first place? Will pageant security allow male refugees backstage with the beauties? Surely not, as it would take a massive security team to keep them in line in that environment.
Jama’s story is a unique play on a tired liberal, feminist, martyr narrative. Unfortunately, some will watch the pageant and sympathize with her concocted story. Hopefully, most will see this for what it is — a con job and an attempt at more Islamization of the West. The entire affair inspires me to ask one simple question: Where is her hijab? Of course, she’s cherry-picking which parts of Sharia law she wants to abide by, something she wouldn’t be afforded in a Muslim country.
