Pia Wurtzbach talks about brushing the haters off, using her voice, breaking the 'beauty queen mold,' and more in magazine feature

This month of April, Cosmopolitan Philippines features 2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach on its cover and the queen is just beyond "kilig."

Ever since her controversial win last year, Pia Wurtzbach has been bugged non stop by online haters and trolls. In the feature, Pia admits that she likes dealing with them on social media because she enjoys being challenged.

According to Pia, "I actually find it entertaining for myself to deal with them, because I like a good challenge. When I'm faced with a situation where I have to think fast, I like that. I don't know why, but I like getting myself out of situations like that. It keeps things interesting."

Pia also opens up on wanting to break the stereotype of beauty queens being perfect.

"I used to think of beauty queens as untouchable, but now that I'm here, I wanna change that. I want to be as natural as possible, and be relatable and approachable. I want people to see themselves in me," she says.
