Mr World and Miss England finals: everything you need to know
Southport will play host to two pageant grand finals
The grand finals for Mr World and Miss England are coming to Southport next week, as the town plays host to pageant competitors hoping to take home a crown.
Miss England is held every year to find the national entrant to Miss World. The winner, to be crowned in Southport next week, will go on to join Miss Scotland, Miss Wales and Miss Northern Ireland to compete for the coveted Miss World crown and a $100,000 prize.
The Miss England grand finals will be returning to the North West of England for the first time in 11 years, with 50 regional winners from across the nation arriving in Southport for the two day event. Among the hopefuls will be 18-year-old Chloe Brown, who wascrowned Miss Southport 2016 earlier this year.
On Wednesday July 20 the Miss England Eco and Talent Show will be staged in Floral Hall, in the Southport Theatre and Convention Centre. Tickets are £20 for admission and £30 for the show and buffet.
The grand final will take place on Thursday July 21 in the same venue, with the 50 finalists competing for the Miss England crown and a first prize worth £25,000. Tickets are £75 with dinner and £95 for VIP tickets that include a champagne reception.

Southport will also play host to the Mr World grand final on Tuesday July 19, with competitors from across the globe vying for the title of "The World's Most Desirable Man."
The final will take place at Floral Hall with doors opening at 5PM. Tickets are £50 including dinner and the show.
