WELLNESS and holistic health has entered the world of beauty pageants.

Lifestyle coach Andi Lew, author of Wellness Loading: Disconnect and Reconnect, has been hired to teach the finalists all about nutrition, holistic health, good eating and the value of superfoods.
“It’s a privilege to be able to inspire these young, impressionable women who will have a huge responsibility to other young ladies,” Ms Lew said.

“I help teach them that their purpose must be greater than themselves and to know how to connect with community.
“A healthy body looks different on every person, so it’s also about working with them to be the best version of them they can be,” she said.

Deborah Miller, national director of Miss World Australia, said the new focus fitted in with the pageant’s “beauty with a purpose” motto.
“So far this year we have already raised more than $100,000 for Variety the children’s charity,” she said.
