Kathmandu, Nepal: Asmi Shrestha has been crowned as the Miss Nepal 2016 amid a function held at Hotel Annapurna in Kathmandu on Friday evening.

 

Asmee received cash prize worth rupees one lakh and a scooter along with other gift hampers.  

In the beauty pageant, Roshani Khatri, 20, has been declared the first runner up. She will represent Nepal in the Miss Earth beauty pageant. 

 

Likewise, Barsha Lekhi, 22, is declared as the second runner up. 

 

According to the organizer, the first and second runner ups have received Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively, along with gift hampers. 

 

This is the 21st edition of the Miss Nepal Pageant. The organizer had set the criteria that at least + 2 graduates and aged between 19 to 24 can take part in the pageant.
