Pia Wurtzbach reminds her followers to have faith and not lose hope

Pia Wurtzbach shared today (Nov. 7) on her Instagram account two memorable photos that tells of what faith and prayers did to her life.
According to Pia's post, the photo on the left was taken during the coronation night of Bb. Pilipinas 2014 (before the announcement of winners) where she lost. The photo on the right, where she was wearing the Miss Universe crown, was Bb. Pilipinas 2016 coronation night where she was about to pass on her Miss Philippines.
Pia said she held on to the cross before competing for Miss Universe and eventually won the title for the 2015 pageant.
"This cross is [at the] backstage of the Smart Araneta Coliseum where the national pageant is always held. I remember holding on to it filled with joy and overwhelming gratitude before I flew to Vegas to compete for the Miss Universe title," she said.
Pia's post reveals a powerful reminder to her three million followers. She tells, "The reason why I'm posting this is to remind everyone that sometimes we forget to simply say thank you. Too often we pray when we're in the dark but do we also pray to say thank you when we're okay? Don't forget to say thank you."
The reigning Miss Universe continued by saying that she's a fan of the Jesus Calling book, a gift she received from Pauleen Luna. Pia shared a quote from the book to further explain what faith and patience can do to people.
She said, "Today I came across this from the same author of that book. "This life I have given you may not always be easy. But I’ll make sure you have everything you need to live it fully. I’ll even help you find Joy and Happiness in it! Being content won’t just happen. You have to choose it. You have to look for Me. This doesn’t mean you can’t hope for a better future. Contentment simply means trusting My plan for you—even if you don’t always understand it." - Jesus"
Pia concluded her post by giving a short reminder that the Lord has a plan for everyone.
"So guys, don't lose hope. He has a plan for you. You just have to have faith in yourself and in Him. And together you will find your destiny. Just like I did. I'm still a work in progress but I'll never forget the true power He holds and will always hold. To my first and true love. You"
