Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach was happy to celebrate her
very first New York Fashion Week at the Nicholas K show Thursday at the
Moynihan Station.
“I do not have any regrets about not having the opportunity to do my
walk with the crown on stage,” she told The Post on Thursday. “The way I
see it, I will have many more moments as I go through the years so it
is OK.”
“My parents were OK and I was able to relive that moment anyway when I
went home to the Philippines for my homecoming,” she said. “The stadium
was full and I wore the same gown and I was able to do my walk so I
felt like I was able to relive the moment anyway.”
However, she does admit to getting cozy with her coveted crown at home.
“The crown is always with me, so I keep it close. I don’t not sleep
with it on because I am scared that I might break it. But I do sleep
with it beside me sometimes in bed.”
And as for her sash.
“I don’t wear the sash to bed,” she admitted. “But I make sure it is
always clean. I have it in two colors, black and gray. And I make sure
it goes with my outfit.”
