PHL’s Angelia Ong takes home Miss Earth 2015 crown

Philippine bet Angelia Ong was crowned Miss Earth 2015 Sunday morning (Manila time) at the pageant held at Marxe Halle in Vienna, Austria.
Ong, a 24-year-old marketing management student from the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, outshined 85 other contenders for the title.
When asked to think of a slogan for the next 15 years of Miss Earth during the question and answer portion, Ong’s confident response of “We will, because we can,” charmed both judges and audience.
“I want to let everybody know that all things are possible and all things are feasible if we work together,” she added.
First runner-up Dayanna Grageda of Australia was proclaimed as Miss Earth Air, second runner-up Brittany Payne was named Miss Earth Water, while third runner-up Thiessa Sickert was hailed as Miss Earth Fire.
The Philippines now has a back-to-back title in the prestigious beauty contest, with Jamie Herrell claiming the crown in 2014.
