Pia Wurtzbach joins panel of judges for Miss Peru 2016

After spending some time in the Philippines to crown her successor as Miss Universe Philippines in the recently concluded Binibining Pilipinas 2016, reigning Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach jetted off to Peru to attend yet another pageant.

On Sunday (April 24, 2016), the 26-year-old Miss Universe threw in the final question for the top three contestants of Miss Peru – Priscilla Howard, Danea Panta, and Valeria Piazza. It was Piazza who finally claimed the crown.

“Which has been the moment in your life when you felt the most beautiful?,” asked the Pinay beauty queen.

After the event, Wurtzbach snapped a photo with Piazza and took to Instagram to congratulate the next Peruvian representative to the Miss Universe pageant.

Wurtzbach arrived in Peru on April 22 and has since then graced various activities. She also met with Lima City Mayor Luis Castañeda who bestowed her with a certificate stating that she is a “Huésped distinguida de Lima (Distinguished Guest of Lima).”
