Keity Drennan Crowned Miss Universe Panama 2016

Keity Drennan is crowned as Señorita Panamá 2016. She succeeds Miss Universe Panama 2015, Gladys Del Carmen Brandao Amaya and will represent Panama in the upcoming edition of Miss Universe 2016.

Few weeks before, Justine Pasek, Miss Universe 2002 and Cesar Anel Rodríguez acquired the franchise of Señorita Panamá, thereby attaining the right to send delegates to Miss Universe, Miss Earth and Reina Hispanoamericana.

Keity Drennan was directly appointed as Miss Universe Panama 2016 by the Señorita Panamá Organization after eight jury members evaluated many considerable ladies for the coveted title and responsible task. The luxurious Trump Ocean Club International Hotel was the venue where the official crowning of the newly appointed Miss Universe Panama, Keity Drennan Mendieta Britton, took place.

Keity Drennan, who hails from Panamá Centro, is a well known face in pageantry worldwide. She is a former Miss International Panamá (Virreina Panamá), who represented Panama at Miss International 2011 and was eventually crowned as fourth runner up. A celebrated model in Panama, Keity Drennan is all set to place high at Miss Universe 2016, and reinstate the glory of Panama at the map of Miss Universe.

Keity Drennan Mendieta Britton’s modeling career began when she won the “Chica Chico Modelo” contest in 2008. It gave her chance to work for Physical Modelos, her official modeling agency as of today and represent Panamá in the Ford Model’s Supermodel of the World 2008. In the same year, Keity represented Panama in the Miss Teen America and the Caribbean, making three awards: Miss Teen Photogenic, Miss Teen Model and Third Princess position.

Señorita Panamá 2017 will begin in the latter part of this year and will witness a fully fledged competition between various contestants. The production of the new event will be in charge of Grupo Producer.

Since its participation at Miss Universe, Panama has placed eight times and has won Best National Costume Award for four times. However, the current National Director, Justine Pasek is the only woman from Panama to wear the Miss Universe crown. Do you think Keity Drennan will bring glory to Panama?
