Miss Kentucky USA 2015 Katie George relinquished her crown to Miss Louisville Kyle Hornback.
Miss Kentucky USA 2015 Katie George relinquished her crown as 24 contestants vied for the distinction during the Miss Kentucky USA 2016 competition at the Clifton Center in Louisville Sunday.
Miss Louisville Kyle Hornback was crowned Miss Kentucky USA 2016. Hornback and Miss Belle of Louisville Madelynne Myers were the final two contestants.
Earlier in the evening, Christiaan Prince, 15, of Carter County, was crowned Miss Kentucky Teen USA out of a field of 27 contestants. The event has been in existence since 1952 and the winners will go on to represent Kentucky in the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants.
In the meantime, they will fulfill their duties in the state which include charitable work.
