Wherever she may be, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach surely knows how to steal the spotlight in impeccable style.
After conquering the American football field as special correspondent for Inside Edition at the recent Super Bowl 50 in San Francisco, California, the Filipina beauty flew to New York City to strut her stuff on the runway of New York Fashion Week’s (NYFW) Fall/Winter 2016 edition.
The premier fashion event, which ran from February 11 to 18, saw the beauty queen on the runway in two designer shows, as well as among an audience of top fashionistas from around the globe.
On the first night of NYFW, Wurtzbach joined 22 other stars who paraded in their distinctive red gowns for the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women-Red Dress Collection” fashion presentation. Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, celebrity chef Gail Simmons, ‘80s singer Debbie Gibson, R&B artist Monica, and former American child star Alexa PenaVega were among the other ladies with Wurtzbach who aimed to raise awareness and funding for women’s heart health. Wurtzbach wore fiery red Carmen Marc Valvo for the show.
The following night, Wurtzbach modeled for American fashion house Sherri Hill— a brand known for formal evening wear—together with Miss USA Olivia Jordan and Miss Teen USA Katherine Haik. She posted a body-fitting blue gown on her social media account and later shared her backstage moment with iconic supermodel Carmen Dell’Orefice.
The rest of the week kept her busy attending the whirl of shows as shown in these snapshots from AFP and the official Miss Universe social media accounts.
