Pia wants Ms. U pageant in PH
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach is hoping that the next edition of the Miss Universe pageant beauty pageant will be hosted by the Philippines
“Of course. we have a great audience here! Very passionate. And it would be a big boost to tourism,” said Wurtzbach in an hour-long live question and answer session on Twitter with fans from around the world yesterday.

Miss Universe Organization President Paula Shugart said that she also supported plans for the staging of the prestigious beauty contest in the country.
But just like other countries, the Philippines should bid for the holding of the “Olympics of beauty pageants.”
The Miss Universe pageant was hosted twice by the Philippines, in 1974 and 1994.
Shugart also said that she was all praises for Wurtzbach as she described the Filipino fans as the greatest pageant fans in the world.
“The greatest Miss Universe fans are in the Philippines and I’m glad that in my 15 years as president, I was able to see the Philippines win the crown,” said Shugart.
Shugart first came to the Philippines in 2013 with then Miss Universe Gabriela Isler of Venezuela to raise funds for typhoon victims which she said was so successful.
‘LIZA SOBERANO CAN BE MS. U’
During the live question and answer session, Wurtzbach also said that actress Liza Soberano would make a beautiful Miss Universe.
Asked who among the local stars could be Miss Universe, Wurtzbach said: “I can think of a lot. But If I had to pick one…Liza Soberano. She’s beautiful!”
Soberano, 18, is one of the popular teen stars of ABS-CBN. She teamed-up with teen actor Enrique Gil in the teleserye “Forevermore” recently.
In February, Soberano and Gil will be paired again in the new Kapamilya teleserye “Dolce Amore.”
CRAVING FOR ISAW, KARE-KARE
Wurtzbach also said that she has a preference for ‘isaw’ (grilled chicken intestines) although her favorite Filipino dish is kare-kare.
Wurtzbach admitted she had a sweet tooth that’s why “dieting and discipline with eating” is the hardest part of being in the Miss Universe pageant.
