Miss Cayman heads off to Miss Universe

In less than a month Miss Cayman Islands Tonie Chisholm heads off the Miss Universe pageant. Miss Chisholm heads off to Las Vegas tomorrow (27 November), where the pageant will take place.

She says she’s been training a long time for this moment, mostly recently having travelled to Panama to train with renowned pageant trainer Katty Pulido.

Miss Chisholm also shared details about her wardrobe for the pageant. Her national costume is inspired by fire coral. Of her gown Miss Cayman gave little details, save for the fact that it is gold and silver, long sleeves and has a train.

When asked how she feels about the pageant she says there is “a lot of excitement, a little fear, a little anxious, but mostly excitement”. She ends by saying she wants to make her family and the Cayman Islands proud.

The Miss Universe pageant takes place 20 December in Las Vegas and airs on FOX.
